About AMTC
Alberta Musical Theatre Company is a Sterling award-winning musical theatre touring company now in its 40th year of operation. Its purpose is to create and produce original musical theatre fairytale adaptations that provide meaningful and educational experiences to young audiences. Founded in 1984 under the name Alberta Opera, the company was created with a mandate to perform traditional opera for children around the province. On October 16th, 2009, at the Annual General Meeting, a Special Resolution was passed amending the purpose of the organization.
